At Inuka Women Foundation, we believe every teenage mother, young person, and student in Kasese deserves a real chance at the future the digital world offers. But in our rural communities, there are no computer labs, no internet access, no training centers, and no safe spaces to learn and heal. Talented, capable people are being left behind, not because they lack potential, but because no one has invested in them yet.
We’re here to change that.
Our Initiative
We are building a community digital learning center in Kasese, a place of skill, dignity, and belonging for:
- Teenage mothers, offering a path to income, independence, and renewed hope
- Out-of-school and unemployed youth, building real, marketable digital skills
- Students, gaining access to computers, the internet, and academic support
Beyond technical training, our center will offer mental wellbeing support to safe spaces, peer support, and counseling access, because we know that true empowerment starts with healing, confidence, and being seen. For many teenage mothers especially, this will be the first place they’ve been given both a skill and a chance to simply breathe.
Why It Matters
Digital literacy is no longer optional rather it’s the doorway to jobs, education, and independence. But for our community, opportunity has always meant leaving Kasese behind. We want to build that opportunity right here, at home. This is about more than computers. It’s about restoring dignity to people who have been overlooked for far too long and giving them tools not just to survive, but to thrive.
