Our background
Inuka Women Foundation (IWF) is a grassroots organization founded in 2021 by two Women Human Rights Defenders with a shared vision for social justice and healing, the foundation was born out of the need to counteract stigma, inequality, and the systemic lack of access to justice and social services in the Rwenzori region, western Uganda. Rooted in the principles of equity, inclusivity, and justice, IWF strives to bridge the gaps in access to health services, justice, and social services for women and girls.
The foundation serves as a beacon of hope for marginalized women and girls, providing safe spaces where survivors of violence, stigma, discrimination, trauma and systemic neglect cannot reclaim their voices, access free and aff ordable support , and embark on transformative journeys of healing and empowerment.
At its core, Inuka Women Foundation is committed to uplifting vulnerable women and girls through advocacy, service delivery, and empowerment, ensuring their dignity, rights, and voices are recognized and upheld.
